Chicken & Carrots

Ingredients
1lb bag carrots (you can use baby carrots if you wish) peeled and slicked in chunks.
Steam carrots (12-15 min or until tender).
Strain..
Puree with some of cooking liquid 1 teaspoon at a time.
Remove skin form chicken and boil 20 minutes until done.
Cut into 3/4" chunks (or a bit bigger).
Keep 1/2 broth form cooking for blending...
Procedure
Puree adding carrots...
If you add too much liquid you can use a bit of baby cereal to thicken it up....

Carrots & Applesauce

Ingredients
1lb bag carrots, peeled and chunked.
3 medium apples, cooked and sliced
1 quart water
Procedure
Boil/steam carrots. drain...Boil apples. Puree with liquid...Add carrots..
.Serve or freeze

Carrot Bean Soup

Ingredients
1 large carrot peeled and chopped
1/2 C. navy beans
1 C. water
Procedure
Place all in saucepan and simmer until tender. Puree

Bread Crumb Pudding

Ingredients
1 cup white bread crumbs
1/4 cup cream
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/8 cup diced apples
1/8 cup diced dried apricots
Procedure
Blend and serve

Basic Meat Puree

Ingredients
1/2 C. cubed cooked meat (chicken, turkey, beef, lamb, veal)
2-4 tablespoons water, breast milk or formula
Procedure
Mash or puree until smooth. Great to make in big batches (easy to multiply ingredients) ahead of time to add to veggies..
Saves lots of time...
Keeps 24 hours in fridge or up to 1 month in freezer

Banana Pancakes

Ingredients
Slice bananas thinly
Coat with pancake batter (I add cereal to the batter)
Lightly fry in pan until golden brown
Serve asfinger food for snack or at breakfast time
Procedure
Make extra and freeze them for the week so you can have a super quick breakfast/snack .....30 sec in themircowave or let them defrost overnight in the fridge :)

Baby's First Omelet

Ingredients
1 egg yolk (after your PED says it's ok)
1 tablespoon water, breast milk or formula
1 teaspoon unsalted butter
2 tablespoon grated cheddar cheese
Procedure
With fork blend yolk and milk (water or formula) in bowl. Melt butter in small skillet over low heat.
Pour egg into skillet and cook until firm.
Sprinkle with cheese, fold over until cheese melts..

Baby's Apple Pie

Ingredients
3 cooking apples
1 egg yolk (or you can sub baby cereal to thicken..)
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp of water or apple juice
small pinch of cinnamon
Procedure
Peel, core and dice the apple into small pieces.
Add to the lemon juice and water and cook over medium heat in a small saucepan for 20 minutes or until soft.
Mash or puree to desired consistency.
Beat in the egg yolk and sugar until smooth. (if you sub cereal for the egg add 1 tablespoon at a time until it's as thick as you want it)

Baby Teething Biscotti

Ingredients
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Procedure
Preheat oven to 325 degree F. Lightly grease a cookie sheet; set aside. In a large bowl stir together the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined. Add the egg, milk, oil, and vanilla, stirring until a stiff dough forms.
Form dough into a log 12 inches long.

Baby Teething Biscotti

1/3 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Baby Cereal Cookies

Ingredients
1/4 cup molasses
1/4 cup butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup flour (white enriched, wheat, brown...whatever you use)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups baby cereal
3 tablespoons whole milk
Procedure
Preheat oven to 375.
Grease a cookie sheet or spray with nonstick spray.
Lightly cream molasses and butter. Mix in egg and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and cereal. Add to the butter mixture. Blend. Add milk.
Drop on the cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
Bake 10-12 minutes.
Serving Information
Serves: 24
