Kids Cranberry Citrus Punch - Sandra Lee

1 (12-ounce) can frozen cranberry concentrate
3 1/2 cups fresh orange juice
1 liter lemon-lime soda
Combine all ingredients in a pitcher. Divide into smaller pitchers for easy serving.
Serve over ice.

Caramel Popcorn Balls

1 bag (3.5 oz) microwave popcorn (any variety), popped
1 cup coarsely crushed peanut brittle (6 oz)
1 bag (14 oz) caramels
1 tablespoon water
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
Butter bottom and sides of 13x9-inch pan. Remove and discard unpopped kernels from popped popcorn.
In large bowl, mix popcorn and peanut brittle.
In 4-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave caramels and water uncovered on High 2 to 4 minutes, stirring every minute, until smooth. Stir in vanilla.
Pour over popcorn mixture; toss until evenly coated. Press in pan with buttered hands.

Chocolate Snack Blocks

3 Envelopes Unflavored Gelatin
3/4 C. Cold Water
1 C. Boiling Water
1/3 C. Granulated Sugar
2 C. (12 Ounces) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Chips
In a blender, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let stand for 5 minutes. Add the boiling water and sugar, cover and blend on low speed until the gelatin is completely dissolved, about 2
minutes.
Continue to blend, gradually adding small amounts of the chocolate chips until the chips are melted and the mixture is smooth.
Pour into an 8- or 9-inch square pan.

Easy Doughnuts for Kids

1 can biscuits
Butter flavored Crisco
Fill fry pan with Crisco and melt. Have kids shape biscuits into doughnut.
Fry in Crisco until brown and both sides. Pat dry with paper towel.
Shake in powdered sugar or cinnamon and sugar.

Reindeer Food

Cup oatmeal
Glitter- any color you like
Small length of red ribbon
Small see-through plastic ziplock baggie
A reindeer note (see below)
Put the oatmeal in the plastic bag. Add the glitter.
Tie the plastic bag closed using the red ribbon.
Write or type the "Reindeer Note" (see text below).
Attach the note to the bag.
Reindeer Note:
"A special treat from me to you,
Listen close and I'll explain what to do.
Please do not eat this reindeer food.
For you to eat, it is not good.
Save this bag for the 24th of December,

Kettle Corn

2/3 cup raw popcorn
1/4 cup oil
1/4 cup sugar
Place oil and popcorn in a large skillet that has a tight fitting lid.
The popcorn should barely cover the bottom surface. Heat over medium until the first kernel starts to pop. Quickly stir in the sugar until dissolved.
Cover and continuously shake skillet while holding top.
Be careful, this will burn much quicker than regular popcorn.
When you think all is popped, remove from heat.
Spoon the popped corn into a bowl while shaking once in a while to let the uncooked kernels settle.
Salt lightly, and break up into pieces.

Flavored Popcorn Balls

1 C. corn syrup
1/2 C. sugar
3 oz. Jello (any flavor)
4 qt. popcorn
1 tsp. butter flavor (optional)
Food color (optional)
Mix syrup and sugar. Boil 5 minutes. Add Jello and stir until Jello is dissolved.
Pour over popcorn and form into balls.
Add flavored Jello as desired Try Orange for Halloween , cherry raspberry, strawberry or lime for Christmas. Add some food coloring to intensify the color a bit if desired.

Chili Cheese Dogs- Tyler Florence

4 hot dogs
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
4 all beef hot dogs, about 1/2 pound
4 hot dog rolls
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar
To make the chili: Heat a skillet over medium flame and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. When the oil gets hazy, add the onion and cook, stirring, until they are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

Mini Corn Dogs

1 1/2 cup of milk
2 eggs
1/4 cup of vegetable oil
1 teaspoon of salt
2 table spoons of sugar
1 1/3 cups of yellow cornmeal
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/2 cup of All-Purpose flour
1 Package of cocktail wieners
Oil for deep frying
Toothpicks
Put 2 inches of oil in a large frying pan and heat it up to 375 degrees.
Combine the Oil, Milk, Eggs, Sugar, and Salt in a large bowl. Mix well, and make sure there are no lumps in your batter
Sprinkle in the Baking Powder, Cornmeal, and all-purpose Flour and continue to blend together.

Ziplock Bag Fudge

3 oz pkg of cream cheese
1 lb box of powdered sugar
2 packets of cocoa mix or 1/2 cup of cocoa
2 tablespoons of butter
2 1 gal zip lock storage bags
Place all ingredients in one of the zip lock bags, close and put it in the next zip lock bag.
Give everyone a turn at squishing the bags to mix. Mix until smooth... Enjoy!

Orange Pops

1 package Orange gelatin (3 ounces)
1 envelope (.15 ounce) unsweetened orange soft drink mix
1 cup sugar
2 cups boiling water
2 cups cold water
Instructions:
In a bowl, dissolve the gelatin, soft drink mix and sugar in boiling water. Stir in cold water. Pour into molds or paper cups; insert Popsicle sticks. Freeze until firm.
Yield: 16-18 servings.
