The Great Pumpkin Dessert

Ingredients:
1 can (15 ounces) 100% solid pack pumpkin
1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
3 large eggs
1 cup granulated white sugar
4 tsp.. pumpkin pie spice
1 package (18.25 to 18.75 ounces) yellow or butter flavor cake mix
3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks = 6 ounces) butter or margarine, melted
1-1/2 cups chopped walnuts, pecans or almonds
Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
Directions:
Spray a 13x9x2-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Preheat oven to 350*F.
In a mixing bowl, combine pumpkin, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar and pumpkin pie spice.
Transfer to prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with dry cake mix and drizzle with butter. Top with chopped nuts.
Bake at 350*F degrees for 45 to 55 minutes, or until knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
Yield: 12 to 16 servings.
